listen / koko and the sweetmeats

i was lead to this tip by my fellow small-town hustler Mark Reitz, who mentioned that this band originally hails from good ol’ Durbs-by-the-sea but find themselves currently residing in Seattle.

Upon browsing their FB page I came across some interesting notes – they are fans of Shapes Have Fangs and Davila 666, who featured on previous Misplaced Mixtapes (The Look Look and Drug respectively) as well as another SA band, Us Kids Know. Small world, huh.

The band has put their album up for free on bandcamp. Thanks guy and girl :)

However, the band says this of the ‘album’ – “It’s a concept ‘double EP’ with the six songs on side A reinterpreted on side B.” Side A is good ol’ garage rock while Side B is its comedown.

Download the double EP release ‘Sacrifice’ for free here.
